La Crosse, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse freshman Mackenzie Hill of Kalamazoo, Mich. (Plainwell) has earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Cross Country Newcomer of the Year. Hill placed 17th at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships (presented by Culver's) on October 29 at Maple Grove Venues, LLC in West Salem, Wisconsin. She earned All-WIAC Honorable Mention accolades with her 17th-place finish, completing the 6,000-meter course in 23:16.2.
