Williamstown, Mass. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team placed fifth at the Williams College (Mass.) Purple Valley Classic Saturday afternoon at Mt. Greylock High School. The Eagles finished fifth with 143 team points. State University New York Geneseo captured the team title with 65 points while Massachusetts Institute of Technology placed second with 71 points. Williams (Mass.) finished third with 100 points and Tufts University (Mass.) fourth with 125. A total of 23 teams competed.
